Hello, I am William, a third-year undergraduate student at the University of British Columbia pursuing a combined bachelor's in computer science and business. My dream is to improve the world through the power of code!

What I am up to

• I am currently interning as a software engineer at 1Password on the Onboarding & Activation team, making first-time users become lifelong customers!

What I've done

• Worked as a software engineer at P&G on the North American Trade Investment Solutions team, working on distributed systems.
• Worked as a software engineer at NextInspect, an open-source application that allows developers to have observability into their SSG/SSR components in Next.js, powered by OpenTelemetry.
• Worked as a software developer at Dyne, a fast-growing restaurant management SaaS startup, with React, Typescript, Next.js, and Chakra UI
• Worked as a software developer at the UBC visual cognition lab, supporting research through creating experiments and a full-stack website, with React, Redux, Typescript, and Node.js
• Worked as a web developer at the Ubyssey Publication Society, the official newspaper of UBC, helping build and maintain their website with Django, HTML/CSS and Bootstrap

• Helping people build cool things as a mentor at Summer of Shipping
