Hi,

I'm trying to install the pubsub plugin and getting this error:
An error occurred while installing google-api-client (0.9.20), and Bundler cannot continue. Make sure that gem install google-api-client -v '0.9.20' succeeds before bundling.

I googled and tried to find solution but nothing seem to work.

I'm using windows 7 & logstash 2.4

The installation steps that I did:

1. clone the repository to Logstas\bin
   git clone https://github.com/Wondermall/logstash-input-google-cloud-pubsub.git

2. Add manually the plugin to the Gemfile:
   gem "logstash-input-google-cloud-pubsub", "2.0.1", :path => ".../logstash-2.4.0/bin/logstash-input-google-cloud-pubsub"

5. Run command to install the plugins.
   logstash-plugin install --no-verify

6. then I got the error, so installed the gem
   gem install google-api-client
   but that didn't work, I still got the same error.

Any idea how to solve this?

I have installed the plugin, but I can't find any documentation on what the

input {
#gcp_pubsub input config stuff
}

needs to look like.

Is this information anywhere??

Since 2015-12-11 the gcloud gem is at version 0.6.x which requires ruby >= 2.0

While logstash is still bundling jruby 1.7 we're only at 1.9.3.

Pinning the gcloud version to < 0.6 should fix the installation issue - I'll test if it does work against the PubSub API with that version.
