Summary from discussion of this ticket following a ticket review in core 2021/11/09.

This issue posted on the marketing GitHub for ease of signposting awareness for descriptors/ screenshots used in marcomms, documentation and Learn WordPress. Also highlighting the change and location in the menu items for Collieth and team's broader awareness with the work they are doing, and for Training colleagues with update implications for LearnWordPress material once the changes come into force.

(General note: we are using computer dates to avoid confusion between different formats and for filtering)

Note: timetable will be updated on 5.9 page once decided in release-leads channel. Revised timetable for Marcomms, Learn WP etc will need to follow.

• Summary of work on this from marketing and core to be brought over from 2020 and 2021
• Items to add from discussions in core / release last few weeks. Incorporate David's and Tonya's answers.
• Bring over updates on HeroPress category and Interview category

Contribute to the writing of the about page :)

• Create a folder to upload Social Media Posts to upload images to a webpage . CHECK: where is this folder saved and is it non-editable for sharing in newsletters etc
• Create social media versions for the images on the release announcement page on WordPress.org news. Dimensions for the featured image (except for Instagram) for images to be used on WordPress websites: 1024px by 627px
• Alt tags descriptors for images to encourage use
• @meherbala to test a selection on Facebook and Twitter preview
• To verify and test small sample for sizes against the guidance shared for direct use on Facebook and Twitter
• To upload experimentation work on images Courtney has done for future testing
