Consider moving the entire setup into Ansible format with custom bash/zsh scripts for each stage

This would be neater, and allow for automated deployments across my network

Spin out the google/reddit/stackoverflow search vimrc code into a redistributable vim9script plugin

Investigate taking NERDTree out and using VIM9's internal file browser netrw

Set it up so pushing to master is not possible, and everything has to be a PR

Then can use github actions such as linting checks etc

Replace the current LanguageTool Plugin with vim-texidote as it supports the latest LanguageTool Java version and more features

Get a proper ZSH shell linter and setup to speed up ZSH script development

As I do a lot of zsh scripting work.

Create a Github Action that automatically generates a TOC for a given file if there are changes, and set it to monitor README.md

Document the keybindings for YouCompleteMe and how they can be used to benefit working on large software projects

Homogenize and clarify in the docs the definitive way to copy and paste from browser, tmux session, joplin, terminal session, and also VIM9

Enable local encryption using Veracrypt or other filesystem based encryption

CryptFS, the solution I was using before, was not ideal because it didn't offer transparent encryption.
VeraCrypt is suggested in the Joplin forums for local encryption.

Apparently it can offer file system-based encryption as well as partition encryption, which would not be a good idea for a number of reasons.

Spin out the wikipedia/jira/etc popup vimrc code into a redistributable vim9script plugin

So other people can use it.

The git mergetool fugative setup doesn't work properly all the time

Add some tests for the setup

Some end-to-end tests for the VIM config where it runs through a set of commands on vim using 'vim -e' and checks the output of the written text file.

Make sure I am not recompiling vim and YCM EVERY time I deploy..

Look into automating the testing of changes by spinning up a docker container on Github actions

Unsure if this would cost anything, but it's worth it.

You would need a docker container with a full latest LTS Ubuntu version.

Wordwrap doesn't work intelligently across files like bash scripts which require non-wraped lines

Setting 'nowrap' just doesn't do it - there are more wrapping options

Change the colour and brightness of the VIM9 open/closed folds colours so that it is properly visable under direct sunlight

Create a toggle for the help function that opens and then closes the two help windows when pressing '<leader> h'

Restore the <LEFT> and <RIGHT> keybindings to navigate the YouCompleteMe/Language Server 'error list'

Consolidate and remove any duplication on approaches

As the env has grown there are sometimes more than one way to accomplish a particular workflow task

There should only be ONE way to accomplish a particular task in the dev environment, and that should be the right way.

Remove all duplicate options as much as possible, definitely from the README.md

Test and get the tmux setup working to the point where I want to use it all the time again

Remove all instances of email address from repo and replace it with obsfuctated email address to stop spammers

Properly test the different clipboard mechanisms on Windows LTS and also desktop Ubuntu, and make sure they are all working seamlessly and perfectly in all situations

Copying and pasting is pretty essential to get right

Investigate using Borg to backup all data on the server drives, not just config

This has the advantage that the Google Drive contents will be fully encrypted, and also compacted as borg will de-dupe and compress all files. It has the disadvantage that Google won't virus scan all uploads for me, and also the files on the google drive will be much less accessible and shareable.

Documentation for Git Fugitive needs updating as some of the commands have changed in latest plugin version

Decide what to do with notes/ backup/ and music-organisation/ they should not be in .dotfiles really

Maybe arrange them as submodules

I keep running :LanguageToolCheck by accident

Change it so that it requires a modifier key as well as the down arrow pressed

Fully seperate my personal credentials from the setup and show exactly how other people can add theirs, to make the project more useful for other people not just me

Joplin now supports E2E Encryption, enable it and disable the file-based cryptfs approach we are currently using

Make a system where I can create 'static builds' that are static pinned versions of all dependencies so I can iron out any and all bugs with each release
