ezphp's Issues

Throws error on line 127

We were using the latest previous version (we have auto updates on) and not an older version. We don't actually have any php code in use in our posts but I installed the plugin because I plan to use it in a couple of places.

When I updated this morning, this is the error I get:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':' in wp-content/plugins/ezphp/ezphp.php on line 127

If you comment that line, errors just cascade down. I reverted and haven't looked into it further, just wanted to report it. Again, we aren't even actively using the plugin. With the new version installed it breaks our site.

Parse Error:

Just started seeing this error after upgrade to wp 4.7.5 running on php 7.0.19
[25-May-2017 22:15:14 UTC] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<', expecting end of file in /home/.../public_html/my/wp-content/plugins/ezphp/ezphp.php(82) : eval()'d code on line 23

exPHP Latest Version 160128 Broke My PHP Code and Exposed It Online

I help manage a commercial website on a WordPress platform. Yesterday, I updated the ezPHP PHP plugin after being notified of a new version. I then found out (a couple of hours later) that it broke a page that was heavily constructed with PHP code and also exposed the plain-text PHP code to my website visitors.

I can't say what all changed, but it looked like a lot of html tags/brackets had been stripped and/or changed to html entities.

I deleted the latest ezPHP plugin and reinstalled the latest again (just to be sure it installed correctly), then added my backup copy of the affected page code. ezPHP still wouldn't work.

The only way I could get it to work was to delete the latest copy of the plugin and revert back to version 150214.

I can't help with screen shots or code snippets, as this site needs to be up at all times and I can't bust it again just for proof of concept with the new plugin version.
