duplicate-2-window's Issues

Version 3 didn't pass full review - confusing strings

Reviewer:

Comments:
This version (3) didn't pass full review because of the following issues:

  1. Your menu entry should appear in the tab context menu, possibly in addition to the File menu. This has confused me both times I've reviewed it.

Tested on Linux with Firefox 14.0a1

Specifically override the new window shortcut

From the full review:

  1. Your keyboard shortcut, Ctrl+N, conflicts with the default new window shortcut, but does not specifically override it. The menus still indicate that both items should be executed on Ctrl+N.

Version 3 didn't pass full review - zombie compartment

This version (3) didn't pass full review because of the following issues:

  1. Your bootstrap.js compartment remains active even after your add-on has been disabled.

Does Not "Duplicate"

Today is Thurs, Feb 11, 2016.
I've had Duplicate Window 2 installed on my Firefox for perhaps a year or so and it's been working flawlessly (used to use "Clone Window", but after a system clean-up due to ID-theft and then-current Firefox download/install, "Clone Window" appeared to be no longer available. Found "Duplicate Window 2" and installed).

For 5 or so days now, {ctrl-N} generated a new FF window but brings up my Home page rather than a clone of the FF URL in focus.

Yesterday afternoon:
Removed Duplicate Window 2, Ran Norton360 full scan, a CCleaner Registry scan, Windows disk cleanup, and Windows disk defragmenter. Restarted Windows. Launched FF, cleared cache, and tried to remove any Duplicate Window 2 cookies but found none. At that point reinstalled Duplicate Window 2.

{ctrl-N} still producing new Home Page FF window.

BTW - I'm still running Windows XP - SP3

Does anyone have any suggestions?

BTW2 - Please note I do not have a smart phone so I have no social media accounts at all. Please reply as post to this issue and/or e-mail (on account, [email protected])

Thank you,
LRand

Delayed run of startup code

Should make about:startup happy!

setTimeout() is exists, but I can't use it easiliy in gecko2.0+: ain't starts on browser startup, but on disable/enable.

Didn't tried under gecko1.9x.
