taskwarrior.vim's Issues

Adds 2.5 seconds to vim startuptime

I noticed the same issue with the blindfs repo.

vim --startuptime vim.log reveals:

023.785 000.052 000.052: sourcing /Users/richard/.vim/pack/minpac/start/taskpaper.vim/ ftdetect/taskpaper.vim

2783.951 2760.021 2760.021: sourcing /Users/richard/.vim/pack/minpac/start/taskwarrior.vim/ plugin/taskwarrior.vim

Adds over 2.5 seconds to startup time.

Support for non-english letters

Hello! First of all thanks for the amazing work on this. It really is a great interface for TW and it is making my project management a lot smoother.

I am Danish and having trouble with using my native æøå in TaskWarrior.Vim. When using them here, they are all converted to à and some. In normal buffers æøå works fine and so does it if I just use TW normally on the command line, so I suspect it's a problem with this plugin.

I'm on NVIM 0.3.4 on Ubuntu Studio 19.04 if that's of any help.

Thanks a lot for your work on this.

Best regards Mads

Edit currently highlighted field/task in a new (Neo)vim buffer

It would be great to have the ability to edit the field or task the cursor is currently on in a new Neovim buffer instead of using the statusline.

A request for such a feature was brought up for the original version of the plugin and Vim a while ago. I wonder if it’s possible to implement it now in Neovim (or even Vim 8+).

Help : (most) commands have no effect !

Hi,
I just installed your plugin and cannot understand why, but most commands do nothing.
As an example, 'A' does allow annotation, but 'a' has no effect !
I probably missed something important.
Please help !

Customizing report type & screen width problem.

Hi there @xarthurx; I have been using your Plugin a lot very useful indeed. Thanxs for it.
I went into the docs but I don't know how to do customization after trying a few things I have decided to ask you directly if you don't mind.

  1. How to use this g:task_report_name vim-tw.txt /*g:task_report_name* to print List instead of next?
  2. How to remove Age active and dep from the categorie"?

And differently from your .png my experience with it do not pass the 50% width of the screen, Urg is the last rigth at 50% width.

Whatever info you need I want me to try I am willing to.

Task move to an unpredictable location when stopped

First of all, thanks for this awesome plugin, and for keeping up with the maintanance.

I noticed that when starting a new task, the selected task goes to the top of the list, but when stopped it goes back to its position, and might be hard to find again.
Would it be possible to either:

  • keep the task in its original position when started
  • move the cursor to the task position when stopped

Thanks
