What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. using \t(\frx) with \org settings
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
while using positive frx values the the syllable moves just slightly up, while
it is supposed to move down. If I wanted it to move up I should have used
negative frx values. At least, that is what I had to do before I activated
VSFilterMod.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm using VSFilterMod.zip Jan, 2011 version on Windows 7

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. \jitter(7,4,0,0,49) or \jitter(0,0,7,4,49) makes crush. When I sets only
left-right or up-down value then crushes.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It should give shaking of text from left to right. Gives crush.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I use version from 7 may, the newest I can download. My OS is Windows 7 x64
Ultimate.
Please provide any additional information below.

I tried installing VSFilterMod, and in VirtualDub & VirtualDubMod it works
like a charm, but in Aegisub (and all DirectShow media players I have
installed) the new tags won't work. If I switch the video provider to
avisynth, the tags will work, but the video timing is instead completely
screwed up. I'm using Windows 7 x64.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create an Avisynth script containing a call to Masksub().
2. Load the script in an appropriate program.
3. Observe error.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
MaskSub(string filename, int width, int height, float framerate, int
framecount) should produce a new clip containing rendered subtitles and
alpha channel suitable for compositing. Instead, an error is returned "The
named argument width to Blackness had the wrong type."
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
This was tested with Avisynth 2.5.8 (32-bit) standard on Windows 7 64-bit,
using both the "original" and "mod" versions on the download page.
Please provide any additional information below.
This function was working in the original 2.39 modification by jfs.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open virtualdub with .avs (using vsfiltermod)
2. Select encoding parameters (all listed encoders failed)
3. Select File -> Save as AVI
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see Virtualdub begining the encoding process and finishing the
encoding process successfully by encoding the .avs file to a .avi file.
Instead, I see virtualdub trying to start the encoding process then crashing
immediatly as soon as the encoding process begins. By Crashing, I mean the
windows grey-out and unusable. A windows popup occurs saying that the
application has stopped working. I can then close the program or check online
for a solution before closing the program. OR another error might happen: a
virtualdub popup occurs saying
"An out-of-bounds memory access (access violation) occurred in module 'ntdll'...
...reading address 07FCE887."
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows 7 x86. Virtualdub 1.9.11.

In my opinion, the \$vc tag needs further improvement to enable more color
selection.
e.g., being able to divide the text into 4 parts or more and have the gradient
run through the chosen number of parts in PIXEL points.
My recommendation:
If I was to put it in lua coding it would be as follows:
\1vc(%d,%s,%d,%s,%d,%s,%d,%s) >> line.left, line.styleref.color1,
line.left+(line.width/4), line.styleref.color2, line.left+((line.width/4)*2),
line.styleref.color3, line.right, line.styleref.color4
This should help with choosing multiple colors as well as attempting to make
per-syllable or per-character horizontal gradients. In my opinion, being able
to choose pixel targets would be a huge upgrade for this mod.

I found that not all of the new tags work in Aegisub with real video loaded.
They all work fine using the dummy video.
Works:
\z
\distort (doesn't work properly; default (1,0,1,1,0,1) actually distorts the
text)
\rnd
\gradients
\jitter
Don't work:
\fsc
\fsvp
\frs
I'm using Aegisub 2.1.8 with the stock FFMS2.

I've used the vanilla VS2010 to compile the latest svn rev (r85) w/o needing
the DirectX SDK. Simply had to change some #includes and remove ddraw.lib from
the list of linking libs.
I could probably make a patch, but it's pretty easy to fix the #includes...

I downloaded newest version vsfiltermod released 6 day ago,
and there is a big mess when I opened karaoke, that uses distort tag.
All syllables are skew when it transformed from \distort(1,0,0,-5,1,-5)
to \distort(1,0,1,1,0,1) and transformation doesn't looks like on previous
version at all.
Or this version have some changes in tag distort adding for example fourth
point?
Tested on aegisub r4089M and BestPlayer.

When using the TextSub plugin together w/ VirtualDub and a SRT file, one
cannot choose the style (font, size, colors...) of the showed subtitles.
VobSub 2.23 used to have this feature.
It was lost somewhere along the way.

\jitter doesn't work well with "template syl" in Aegisub, unless you use

Because one of the encoders needed the filter mod I linked him to your page.
Turns out the "new version" on your download page - it says it's from 2010,
though you said you fixed something in a 2014 version - doesn't work with the
effects anymore.
Maybe update the download?
