English-Emoji IME

An IBus-based IME to ✏️ 🇬🇧 with emojis.

Requirements

You'll need IBus and ibus-table:

Ubuntu (not tested)

sudo apt-get install ibus ibus-table

Arch Linux

sudo pacman -S ibus ibus-table

Install

Clone this repository somewhere and run make install.

To activate the English-Emoji ⌨ on Gnome, go to "All Settings" > "Region & Language" > "Input Sources". Click "➕", choose "English (United State)" and 👀 for "English (Emoji English)". Press "Add", and it should be added to your list of ⌨ layouts.
