The utility allows to create and manage several versions (editions) of some file or directory and simply substitute it and quick change substitutions like nvm allows to deal with several versions of node engine.

Batch command for fast replace

Implement

lnkr replace <filename> by <path> [as <alias>]

as alias to

lnkr <filename> init
lnkr <filename> add <path>

Probably there is better verb than replace

Draft of tests plan

Tests plan:

  • Installation (After npm install)
    • Executable should be created
  • Init
    • Should init
      • Should show an empty list of revisions
    • Should not init twice
    • When 1st revision added
      • Should show a list with one revision
      • When 2nd revision (another) added
        • Should show a list with two revisions
        • When 1st revision used as default
          • List should show 1st revision is used
          • When 1st revision used as default again (idempotency)
          • When 1st revision is removed
            • Deny this attempt or handle?
          • When 2nd revision is removed
            • List
        • When 2nd revision used as default
          • List should show, that 2nd revision is used
      • When one revision was removed
        • list
      • When 3rd revision was added

A revision can be:

  • file
  • dir
  • git revision
