vscode-copy-with-line-numbers's Issues

change colon to a period?

Hello,

Thank you for this very useful extension. I appreciate your work. By default, when copying with line numbers, the line numbers have a colon : Is there a way (or setting) to enable a period instead?

Currently:
1:
2:
3:

Desired goal:
1.
2.
3.

Thank you

VS Code [Insiders] with Remote extensions

It is not working here. VS Code says the extension is running in the remote, so I believe it is copying on the remote clipboard machine and the clipboard is not updated locally.

Should use vscode.env.clipboard

This extension does not rely on the standard Clipboard.writeText which seems to cause issues :

  • Remote vscode fails to set clipboard #6
  • Required xclip as a dependency #7

It looks like simply ditching "copy-paste": "^1.3.0" and calling the proper vscode function would fix a few issues but this project seems kind of dead...

Simple fix :

copy(str, () => {
const showSuccessMessage = vscode.workspace.getConfiguration('copyWithLineNumbers').get('showSuccessMessage')
if (showSuccessMessage) vscode.window.showInformationMessage('Copied!')
})

to :

await vscode.env.clipboard.writeText(str);

[Feature Request] and commit sha

title

And without code, just line number, like github

export function activate(context: vscode.ExtensionContext) {
const { registerCommand } = vscode.commands
const { subscriptions } = context

And if this plugin can detect comment like this pattern fe74f7def9c75b6a4120b2df3c97e655e84f12c6/src/extension.ts#L6-L8 and mouse hover show the code, that's great.

xclip required

You should probably mention in the README.md that xclip is a requirement on Linux for this extension.

Add config option to set line numbering from 1

Hi, it would be great to have an option to paste copied lines with numbering starting from 1, e.g. after copying code:

67: copy(str, () => {
68:    const showSuccessMessage = vscode.workspace.getConfiguration('copyWithLineNumbers')
69:    if (showSuccessMessage) vscode.window.showInformationMessage('Copied!')
70: })

I would like to paste it as:

 1: copy(str, () => {
 2:    const showSuccessMessage = vscode.workspace.getConfiguration('copyWithLineNumbers')
 3:    if (showSuccessMessage) vscode.window.showInformationMessage('Copied!')
 4: })
