In light of the recent webp exploit and subsequent patch needs, people are distributing built dlls for patching. These dlls, however, do not come from official sources, which requires trusting the sender. It would be much safer for everyone if this repository instead provided its own release, as an official, more trustworthy source.

After upgrading Resonite to the latest Linux version compiled by the Github Actions, some Linux users are having issues loading the library on their systems, which seems to be due to a newer version of glibc being required.

Lowering the version could help improve compatibility.

We should investigate them.

Could the difference between this fork and the official library be listed in the README? A bullet list of major differences would be great. Are there any changes that are being considered for contribution back to the main project? If so links to those issues would also be nice to see listed here.
