board_game_owner_prediction

This project aims on predicting if a boardgame is popular (has many owners). The dataset is scraped from BoardGameGeek via python scrapper.
The project is consist of two notebooks. The first one, 00_cleaning.ipynb is the part of data cleaning and preprocessing, and the second part, 01_modeling.ipynb is for modeling with decision trees. The predictive power of current result is not good enough due to the lack of informative features. Unexpected dependence between average_weight and total_owners is discovered which makes useful features even less. Future directions about the project are listed at the end of the modeling part, and should be done and updated soon.
