  • Generally, longer videos of around 20-25 minutes from a very humble creator with really sweet voice.

  • 2-3 minutes videos broadly ranging from calculus to algorithms.

  • Appreciated for sheer interest in the subject and his passion visible in his videos.
3. Art of the Problem
  • Deceptively named, the channel focuses on computer science and it's history. It also covers Information Theory in a insight revealing manner.

  • Videos range from 2 to 10 mins, averaging around 5 mins.
4. Welch Labs
  • Videos on machine learning, imaginery numbers and music. Takes an inquisitive viewpoint over plain theory regurgitation.

  • Short videos that leave you thinking at the end. Introductory series on machine learning titled "Learning to See" highly recommended.
5. Siraj Raval
  • Videos on machine learning, Deep Learning, NLP and Data Science.

  • Hands on Approach coupled with theory
6. AsapSCIENCE
  • General science related videos for general public i.e. not hard core into science.

  • Short videos (2-5 mins) with freestyle animation, hosts and white background.
7. Ben Eater
  • Digital circuits, computer organization and lower level architectures. Also features on 15 episode benbenandblue podcast.

  • Videos are of medium duration (10-15 mins). He is famous for building his own computer from IC chips.
8. CGP Grey
  • Wide ranging topics from politcs to computer science. More than the topic, it's the depth of analysi the style of commentary that is unique about this channel.

  • Short and medium length videos (2-20 mins). Videos have minimal animation and a iconic stick figure of CGP Grey himself.
9. ColdFusion
  • Videos on FAANG, IT and internet in general. Takes practical approach towards explaining the modern worlld aimed for consumption by general public i.e. not technical.

  • Videos are of medium to long duration (10-20 mins). Validated sources on videos and commentary by Dgagogo Altraide including editing of videos. Videos are often clips from various sources stiched together with good explanation.
10. Computerphile
  • Computer Science! Videos by Sean Riley where professors from University of Nottingham explain concepts of computer science. The videos are apparently aimed at prospective students after school but you will often find them insightful for current computer science undergraduates as well.

  • Videos are medium to longer duration (especially Prof. Brailsford :P). USP is the fact that with time you will develop a holistic view of computer science and the videos serve as good primer for your own in depth surfing.
11. CrashCourse
  • Wide ranging topics from science and arts. The videos are suitable for school courses as well are cover begineer level of the course. Examples of courses include computer science, engineering, history, chemistry etc.

  • Each course has 40-50 videos of 10-12 mins with a host lecture setting and 3 cam angle video recording. Animations are sprinkled in videos by Thought Cafe.
12. Domain of Science
  • Overview videos of Science. Draws a fun animation explaining breadth of topics from basic sciences - physics, chemistry, biology and computer science.

  • Videos are short to medium length (2-10 mins). The creator is a physics phd student.
13. DW Documentary
  • Videos on news, current affairs and modern world. DW is a German media company.

  • Long video of 40-60 mins. The videos are full length documentaries on topics of interest for general public.
14. Gate Lectures by Ravindrababu Ravula
  • Computer science with special focu on GATE and B.Tech level computer science courses in India.

  • Videos are medium duration of 10-20 mins. Explained on a whiteboard by Ravindra himself.
15. GeeksforGeeks
  • Computer science concepts like data structures, algorithms, computer networks, operating systems. Technical people and computer science undergraduates is the intended audience.

  • Videos range from short to medium duration (2-10 mins). Videos are partial extension of their main content on the website : www.geeksforgeeks.org
16. hackerdashery
  • Holds the best video on explanation of P vs NP and computational complexity on YouTube imho.

  • The channel seems abandoned unfortunately.
17. HackerRank
  • Aimed at computer science professionals and job seekers with videos ranging on IT applications in the industry.

  • Videos are of medium to long duration. Features webinars from industry people.
18. Kurzgesagt - In a Nutshell
  • General science.

  • The animations of the videos is one of it's kind. As of 2019, the creators have become extra cautious of the sources of their videos and list every reference as well. The videos are good primer for general science topics that affect decision makers in particular and are entertainment for the general public.
19. Learn Engineering
  • Engineering topics especially mechanical engineering.

  • The videos are in slow solid animations with a synthesised audio commentary. Explanations are well done and lead to insights. For example, it explains functioning of a AC, Car etc.
20. LiveOverflow
  • Network security and hacking

  • The videos are can be understood by those with basic background in computer science. The length of videos is medium (10-15 mins).
21. Mathologer
  • Core maths concepts.

  • Medium duration (15-25 mins). The videos by host in the videos on a white background and on screen animations to explain the concepts. The pace is generally slow.
22. Microsoft Research
  • Advanced computer science concepts and areas of active research

  • Full length presentations on active research works in computer science, generally by MSR scientists.
