Due to iPhone X and safeAreaLayoutGuide this code doesn't work as intended any more. I hope you find time to update it. For a reference you can check this file.

First of all thanks for your example. I am trying to use your code with iAd and admob fallback. If iAd is not available admob shows and ass soon as iAd available it hides admob and show iAd. If both if them are not available it hides all. However I couldn't implement remove banner method since the logic is quite complex. If you have time could you add admob fallback? Thanks again for the code it really helped me a lot!

Ps: why don't you call super from viewDidLayoutSubviews
