Building an easy to use, central repository of volunteers willing to help deliver essential supplies to vulnerable individuals or those under self-quarantine. Very much a work in progress currently consisting of two parts:

1. A Google Form to help standardize collection of essential information such as the volunteer’s approximate location / contact info as well as useful labels like languages spoken, mode of transportation, availability etc (https://forms.gle/WdJayiDnBFH8aNyK7)
2. An interactive map showing the approximate locations of volunteers that allows you to easily search for volunteers in any neighbourhood in Montreal and other places around the world. (https://www.volunteeratlas.com)

Accent marks are replaced by garbled text in the map

As shown below, letters with accent marks are not properly displayed

Add filters for the map

Create filters so that the map can be updated to show only people who meet certain criteria

• what day(s) they are available
• what time(s) of day they are available
• what type(s) of service they can provide / require
• how to make and receive payments

Create testing mode for development

Create a testing mode for developers to be able to use a publicly available sheet with the information of volunteers and requestees. This way developers can run the app and make changes without needing access to the sheet containing the private information of all those who have signed up for volunteer atlas
