eslint-plugin-no-async-without-await's Issues

Question: Why the following code is invalid?

I'm trying to use this rule in my project but even the simplest function is reported as invalid.

Function declaration

function delayedHello(name: string, delay: number = 2000): Promise<string> {
  return new Promise((resolve) => setTimeout(resolve(`Hello, ${name}`), delay));
}

async function greeter(name: string): Promise<string> {
  const hello = await delayedHello(name);
  return hello;
}

ESLint output

7:1  error  Unnecessary async (only use async when await is needed)  no-async-without-await/no-async-without-await
