zcard's Issues

Navigation bar color

As with Catima, I have a problem with the color of the navigation bar. It doesn't match the selected theme and with pure black it looks like this:

It was fixed once, but the Catima developer found the fix buggy and reverted it. I expect the navigation bar to be black so it doesn't distract me.

I see this repo as a continuation, as there is a big mess in the original project, and hope you have some time to maintain it properly. Cheers!

Card view simplification

Nice work on the card view screen! It looks fresh now, but I think it needs more work. The card name doesn't need to be displayed above the card code, since it's already at the top on the title bar. The same goes for the card color (or image, if set) square, and I don't think it's necessary to place it here, since you're opening the card details with the intention of scanning it. There are very few moments where you'll check if it's the card you wanted to open, so you need to keep it simple here.

I think the card screen would look much cleaner without the name, icon, and that wavy line above the barcode, as users will be using the app to show their screen to others to scan the code, so it's important not to clutter the view too much. Please consider it.
Also, I'd like to see the card colors related to the theme, because now we can see a purple card screen tile when using a sky blue theme color, which looks really bad.

Publish on Google Play

Hello!

I wanted to install zCard but it's not on Google Play. I don't use F-Droid so it seems I won't receive updates if I install it from apk.

Do you have any plans on publishing the app on Google Play?

Add a trailing space after the currency code

Now the balance with currency codes are displayed as 'CAD50.00'. For better readability, let's maybe make all these three-letter currency codes appear with a trailing space ('CAD 50.00'). This doesn't apply to currency symbols ($, โ‚ฌ, etc.) and 'Points'.

Font

Could you add the ability to use the font in the demo screenshots instead of the system font? The app looks way different with the system font than the one shown.

Here's my app:

Fix post editing behaviour

When returning from the "edit card" screen, the app returns to the main menu instead of showing the previous screen.

Group Cards by Name

You could add a setting that when enabled, all card with the same name/store will be grouped together so you don't have a bunch of the same on the home page.

The app could even tally up the total for each store and display the amount.

Theme request

I don't like current themes. Even if you choose some blue theme color, some elements are colored in other way what makes it look less serious. I think some gray or black/white theme would compensate it. Something that would be consistent and color all elements in the shades of the chosen colors, which now works the other way and choosing magenta you get pink accents.. awful.

Match group icons

In groups screen the arrow icons on buttons are different than these on the card preview screen. I think the latter look better, and there's my mockup on how it would look like.

Now it's like this for both screens:

I can see this one look better, especially for people with some minor vision problems (hi :D):

Merge theme settings

It's about moving the 'Pure black background for dark theme' setting to the 'Theme' dialog and make it a checkbox (like '...in reverse order' in the Sort dialog). I think it would be more intuitive for users and would make the list of settings less cluttered.
