After rotations, portrait -> landscape -> portrait, the options menu wouldn't update its related entity, so even swipe a few comics away, the one shared or opened in browser will retain to a previous entry.

May related to savedInstance.

Repro.

• Long click img to open info dialog.
• Explain more.
• Long click to select word.
• Dismiss selection then scroll TextView.
• TextView will auto-scroll to top.

The title text of some comics such as 1942 or 1943 renders incorrectly.

According to Fastlane specs, names of the changelogs must reflect versionCode – you currently have them corresponding to versionName. So the current 2.7.7.txt should rather be named 70.txt. Could you please fix that (at least for the current and future ones)? Thanks!

Currently it is yyyy.M.dd, but I don't mind to add a preference to use Roman numerals or timestamp instead.

Comic #1056 displays the image for comic #1506, xkcloud, instead of the proper comic, Felidae. The inverse is not true, xkcloud displays correctly. Additionally, it's only the image; the correct title, title text, and explainxkcd article are all there. This seems to be the only instance of a typo like that.

The comic in question, Egg Strategies, has a perfectly good ExplainXKCD article. However, the page uses the header "Eggsplanation" above the comic explanation. I suspect that the app is only looking for the standard "Explanation" header, and failing to display anything when the header isn't found.

A "display a random comic" button would be nice, since the random function of the comic date is unintuitive, and the date is hard to reach with the thumb on a smartphone.

Xkcd comic links on other apps should be opened by default on the app and not the browser. Also share option should show xkcd app so it can be open that comic link in xkcd

I wish to have my notifications panel cluster-free, and I think its better to disable push notifications for new xkcd arrivals rather than via Android settings as I might miss some important notifications from the app otherwise. If using the Android settings is a better option, I an fine with it too.

(P.s : I like your app and find it hassle-free along with the offline and explainxkcd feature)

On a side note, having an about section in settings would be nice as it can have a github direct link.

Open app, rotate several times.
Fragments added in ChildFragmentManager will be 3 * rotation.
Could be leak, also too large savedInstance issue.

Hi, I'd love to have an option to always display the alt text of the comic for example under it. It is something I will always read so it shouldn't be an extra click away.

Currently FLAG_IGNORE_GLOBAL_SETTING is used on vibrations, should respect system settings.

A comic can be liked infinitely often, just by repeatedly pressing the like button. Also, a comic can't be un-liked because of this.

This actually influences the ranking displayed the ranking of the comics (as viewed on the same device).
