ha-daikinone's Issues

Cannot override thermostat schedule

I cannot override the thermostat schedule on my Daikin One through HA.

If I try to change the temperature, it reverts back to the previous target.

The official Daikin One app works. When I change the temperature there, I can see the changes in HA, so I know my integration is working.

Install issues and missing device

Hi, I can't seem to install this integration. When I try trough HACS,
I get this error message in HAC:
You are running Home Assistant version '2024.2.0', but this repository requires minimum version '2024.2' to be installed.

If I click the Download button, it changes to a spinner, but doesn't seem to end (at least 5 minutes anyway).
I was able to do a manual install by copying over the custom_components\daikinone folder.

My house has 2 thermostats, 2 furnaces and 2 heat pumps. The integration brought in 7 devices, but is missing one furnace:

(There should be an 'Upstairs Furnace')
My only guess is that it didn't get imported because both furnaces are the same model?

Any idea?

Heat pump power consumption

I compared the heat_pump_power_usage to the power being measured by an Emporia Vue 2 CT clamp in the breaker panel. They definitely track together, but with about a 200W constant difference with the Daikin integration value being higher. Is there anything on the integration side that would account for the offset?

The blue line is the Daikin integration and the purple line is the Emporia value

On my other heat pump same pattern, but the values are much closer:

The Furnace power usage is a bit of a mystery. Perhaps it does not include the blower as the values are very low:

This is the graph of the Emporia and Daikin integration ( at the bottom of the graph since the values are so low) together:

Add support for DM97MC and DZ6VS

Hi,

Just got new equipment installed in my home a few days ago which includes the DM97MC modulating gas furnace and DZ6VS heat pump. All controlled by the One Touch thermostat. So far the integration is working great but I would still like to contribute what I can to improving the integration and ensure my equipment is fully supported.

Diagnostics file from the thermostat page is attached. For privacy purposes I have removed the dealer contact info but can provide it if needed.

V0.4.0 - Update removed ability to measure temperature.

Everything seems to work after V0.4.0 Update but the most important thing (Temp reading) isnt working. It says the "Entity is not available".

I tried removing and reinstalling, restarting HA. No luck.

Any suggestions to roll this back?

Just awesome

Got my Daikin Fit installed yesterday, and was have issues getting it integrated into HA. Found this one, took a whopping 3 minutes (including the restart). Great job!

Missing ability to control Emergency/Aux heat

Hi, Not sure if I'm missing it, but I can't seem to find a way to turn on Aux heat. I see it in the code, but it doesn't show up as a mode in the UI:
image

I tested the skyport integration as well and it also does not have Aux heat showing in the HVAC modes, but with that integration Aux heat can be turned on and off using the service call: Climate: Turn on/off auxiliary heater.

Are you able to add in Aux heat control?

Missing schedule and away modes and fan settings

I was looking for a way to pause and resume scheduling, but it seems to be missing. Looking over at the daikinskyport integration, they have it under Preset:

daikinskyport presets:
Temp hold: pauses the schedule until the next change
Manual: turns off schedule
Schedule: turns on schedule
Away: turns off schedule and enables Away mode

They also have fan speed control which would also be nice to have in this integration:

It sets the circulate air functions on the thermostat:
Screenshot_20240218-074711

Auto: turns off circulate air
On: circulate air always on
Schedule: circulate air on a schedule
Low/Medium/High: sets the speed for On and Schedule

It's a bit awkward how it works and needs a two-sequence tap to get everything to work.
If it is currently set to schedule/medium you want fan mode to On/low, you need to first tap Low. The UI shows Low for a few seconds and then reverts back to Schedule. Then Tap On.
The low/medium/high labels are only shown temporarily then revert back Auto/On/Schedule.

I guess this follows the physical thermostat UI where the off/on/schedule is shown at the upper level. What's awkward is that your can't actually see the current fan speed anywhere.

If doable I think it would make more sense to have 7 options instead:
Auto: turns off circulate air
On L/M/H: circulate air always on at set speed
Schedule L/M/H: circulate air on a schedule at set speed

Invalid sensor values reported when equipment is offline

When equipment stops reporting, for example due to being powered off, the values for at least some sensors go to their max values. I've seen outdoor unit temperature sensors at 215 after flipping the breaker.

We should likely return None from the sensor in these cases. The tedious part will be determining the max values for different API fields so they can be filtered out.
