An open-source Codex skill for managing HeaderDeck HTTP Header profiles through @Chrome.
The skill teaches Codex to operate HeaderDeck's accessible Agent Control surface, target the correct profile, perform only the authorized change, and verify the persisted result and runtime state. It does not require a HeaderDeck account, CLI, native host, MCP server, or cloud relay.
- Codex with the
@Chromecapability - The HeaderDeck Chrome extension installed in the same Chrome profile
@Browser is not supported because it uses a separate browser profile.
Ask Codex's built-in Skill Installer to install this repository:
$skill-installer Install the HeaderDeck skill from https://github.com/zzzgydi/headerdeck-skill
Codex detects newly installed skills automatically. If it does not appear, restart Codex.
For manual installation:
git clone https://github.com/zzzgydi/headerdeck-skill.git ~/.agents/skills/headerdeckInvoke it explicitly:
$headerdeck Create an enabled Rewrite profile named Local API for api.example.com.
Set the request header x-environment to local for GET and POST fetch requests.
Or describe a HeaderDeck task normally and let Codex select the skill:
List my HeaderDeck profiles and disable the one named Old Staging Override.
Codex must use @Chrome and https://headerdeck.com/agent/.
- Connect to and refresh the installed extension state
- List every persistent/tab profile, scope, operation, and runtime result
- Toggle HeaderDeck globally without changing saved profile flags
- Create persistent Rewrite profiles
- Edit persistent Rewrite profiles while preserving untouched state
- Add, edit, enable/disable, and remove Header rows
- Enable or disable any visible profile
- Delete any selected profile with card-scoped confirmation
- Recover once from a configuration revision conflict
- Verify revision, persisted state, runtime badge, warnings, and errors
Inspect, URL Replace, and tab profiles can be inspected, toggled, or deleted. Their fields are edited in HeaderDeck's full side panel.
