The setup is a bit hacky currently. The better option for the future will be to define a window object, which will have the trackbars, window names, and image data as properties. Then the object can be passed into the callback function when the trackbar is modified, and then the image data can be modified inside that function. This way the global variable redisplay can be completely gone, and the same object could be used whether or not you're using a multi-window or single-window display since all the data is still in the object itself. Finally, the only thing the main loop needs to do is check the trackbar positions for change, and the displaying can be done by other functions.
