Modular Launch Pads Current Release: v2.6.0

  • New General Launch Bases in six sizes--Micro, Mini, Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large--with different styling and fewer exhaust hole options per base.
  • New Ariane V Flat Mast and Scissor Umbilical.
  • New General SRB Hold-Down part with adjustable bolts.
  • New N1 basic modular stackable tower part and separate platform part.
  • New Aerobee Launch Stand-Tower with optional integrated cover
  • New Modular Multi Tower part in three different sizes, each main size has multiple sub-sizes. New separate Multi Top part for all the sizes.
  • New Micro General Strongback Tower featuring partial Electron styling, fits on the mew Micro Launch Base.
  • Minimized the size of the launch clamp meshes in the launch bases, stands and plates that don't rely on them for the visual structure; added switch to turn them off, which does not affect the actual clamp function.
  • Retitled a number of the General Parts to follow a more coherent and consistent naming scheme.
  • Added craft files for the KNES Ariane V, TantaresLV N1, Chrayol PSLV, DodoLabs Electron and Taerobee Aerobee rockets.
  • The three old General Launch Bases have been deprecated in preparation for version 3, they will not make the move to v3.0.

Throttle Cannot be Adjusted Prior to Launch

I'm having an issue where I cannot throttle up or down prior to launch while using modular launch pads. Once I revert to using the base game launch clamps the issue is no longer there.

Redstone Launch Stand collider

The Redstone Launch Stand has a small collider at the bottom of the pole. The collider still exists when the pole is disabled and can cause 'phantom torque' by colliding with the rocket on detachment. This is more noticeable if you happen to have adjusted the pole in closer before disabling it.

(Release 2.2.0b) Vessel state is not properly updated

When using 2.2.0b with KSP 1.10.1, the vessel state is set to splashed instead of flying low upon staging, leading to wonky physics. I have not tested extensively with different launch bases, but the issue is definitely present on "Flat Launch Base 1 - Mini Frame". Downgrading to 2.1.2 Fixes this issue.

Duplications in AlphaDev?

I am using AlphaDev and noticed that I had some parts being multiplied (like 6x) in the RnD center display window. So, I figured I had done something to invoke the bunny-effect.

Upon investigation, I found the DEV branch, unless I'm not understanding, has a number of parts duplicated.

EX: PART[AM_MLP_LaunchPlateRnd1] exists in both Launch_Plates & Launch_Stands. The only differences between the configs are: MODEL[model], TechRequired, entryCost, and description.

MY understanding of things is that KSP will load BOTH configs regardless, but in the end, the HighLander-effect takes over. The Launch_Stands config will overwrite the Launch_Plates config because it is Alphanumerically after and only one PART[name] can exist.

And, no, that had zero to do with my original problem. That was from having

part = AM.MLP.LaunchPlateRnd1
part = AM.MLP.LaunchPlateSqr1
part = AM.MLP.LaunchRailMini
part = AM.MLP.LaunchRailSmall

added multiple times to the end of the ResearchAndDevelopment scenario's Tech node, somehow.

Saturn Launch Free Base heavy

The freestanding saturn launcher base in the extras is 1999 ton too heavy.
This can be resolved by changing the mass to 1, just like the shuttle freestanding launcher base is

Mod is too awesome

Mod is too awesome. would love that one early stage rocket stand i saw you making on stream that one time. but then i would need to buy a coffin, cause the mod will kill me with rays of awesome.

1.12.0, manual install not working

I can't install it manully, it just fails to do it, The Gamedata folder inside the KSP Gamedata folder? or just the entire folder? cfg also didnt work, it didnt do anything. Please, is this compatible with 1.12.0.3140? How do i install it? CKAN says it isn't compatible.
PLEASE TELL ME!
