Add the 3D printable file from my repo for using thepaintbrush strapped onto something, like a leg. GitHub wouldn't allow me to add an stl to the issue, so I uploaded it at the above link.

This is a simple case to replace the bottom plate of the MX switch version of the V5 Paintbrush, and uses M2 heat inserts, similar to these found on AliExpress. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002986258961.html

Quite a frustrating series of interactions with JLCPB, who are indicated that the provided zip file is insufficient.

Just a suggestion, Reviung has mcu sockets with this size and it support the usage of spring header.

The main benefit is no need to solder socket on pcb and also no need to solder relatively expensive mcu like nice!nano (nice!nano holes work perfectly with spring header). The disadvantage is adding more cost, but consider the price of mcu, using it without soldering might be more economical.

When using lower profile headers / non machine pin sockets the MCU sits too low to the PCB to allow most usb connectors to 'fit' ; there isn't enough vertical clearance.

Design needs to be rev'd so there is better usb clearance and/or re-worked around the 'front' of the mcu where the usb port is to facilitate more cable types and designs.
