rubidium's Issues

Leather Tunic Texture

When using rubidium the texture for the leather tunic is just completely gone even with shaders

Issue with Snow Real Magic

Grass doesn't render at all with the Snow Real Magic mod when snow covers the grass. It could be an issue with any block that gets snowed on and is affected with this mod.

Performance Issues

Hello!

Versions:

Forge 39.0.79
Rubidium 0.5.0 rubidium-0.5.0.jar

Mod list:

Configured - configured-1.5.3-1.18.1.jar
Controlling - Controlling-forge-1.18.1-9.0+15.jar
FPS Monitor (provides FPS text when not in F3) - FPS-Monitor-1.18-1.0.2.jar
JEI - jei-1.18.1-9.2.1.69.jar
Starlight 1.0.1 - starlight-1.0.1+forge.36a1c6c.jar

Hello! There is a slight increase in framerate (40 or so), however, there are significantly more stutters. Additionally, the framerate increase is less than what native Sodium or Magnesium provides. Not sure if everything is running properly. RAM usage and framerate are better on Rubidium, but stutters undermine these increases.

Tests are provided below:

Thank you + 3 features suggestions

Hi there.

Thank you so much for that port! Indeed, you solve that problems problems I had with Magnesium (and Optifine). Also, do you plan to add 1/2/3 features below in the future please ? I really don't want to go back toward Optifine :

  • Dynamic light (like Optifine) (since the mod Dynamic light is not working fine)
  • Custom Sky (like Optifine)
  • Shaders (like Optifine)

In all case, thank you for your time.

Crash during startup

I have been adding and removing mods one by one to see what is causing this crash, and it seems rubidium is the culprit. I cannot figure out exactly why it is causing the crash, as what is being shown in the crash reports is completely new to me, and don't seem to point to a specific conflict (as far as I can tell). Perhaps you could glean more from it than I can?

Porting Magnesium Extras - Do you have a Discord?

Hey, I'm the dev for Magnesium Extras & Dynamic Lights, been trying to get in contact with the Magnesium dev but seems he's AWOL (and wasn't talking to anyone anyway). Was considering porting it myself but seems you're already doing it.

Do you have Discord? Would like to chat about the port & future projects (you have plans to port Iris?). Would be open to contributing if you don't mind.

Issues with Create Mod

  • Difficulty rendering the entities such as shafts, cogwheels, flywheels, waterwheels.
  • Lack of connected textures, most notably on their pillars, but other blocks too.

[Port Request] Rubidium on 1.16?

Hi,

We have recently been using Magnesium on our large scale 1.16 modpack but from the looks of it that mod has since been abandoned and more issues are coming up by the day with it to the point we're having to disable parts of the mod to continue to use it,

Would it be possible for Rubidium to have a port to 1.16, I can almost guarantee mod creators across the board would be heavily grateful for this.

[Issue] Mixin min version

Mixin's minimum version was not specified.

The link below is saying that it is important, although Rubidium is working perfectly, even without specifying the minimum version.

[1.18.1] Visual glitches with EnderChest's colour bands.

Vampirism and Ender Chests mods both have visual glitches with Rubidium. I have made separate posts for each. I do have many other mods (around 150), but every time I disable Rubidium, they're fixed, and when I enable it, they're broke (so it could be a mix issue, but I don't think so as I'm pretty sure I once disabled every other mod but these 3, if not almost every other mod)
A note, I haven't really posted on here before, so apologies if anything doesn't show up quite like it should.

Ender Chests' colour bands

  • Issue is when placed, the bands of colour on the ender chests are.. I'm not sure the right words, but like someone threw in too much white/dulled the colours. You can only very barely see that there's any colour at all, it might as well be white. Interestingly, when placing multiple in a line, the center gets slightly more saturated (really only noticeable when placing in my opinion, but it's there nonetheless)
  • How to recreate: Install Rubidium & EnderChests, latest 1.18.1 versions (1.9.2 for EnderChests, 0.5.0 for Rubidium), load up a singleplayer world, place any of the "Ender Chest" blocks with coloured bands on them from the creative inventory, and look at it.
  • For reference in the pictures - top band is blue, middle is cyan, bottom is green, for all of the ender chests. This occurs for every colour.

Wrong license

just wanted to let you know that while you've licensed this under the GPL, Sodium is licensed under the LGPL. GPL isn't a valid license for Minecraft as you have to link to MC itself.

[1.16.5 Rubidium 0.2.4 Oculus 1.2.2] Crash with CBMultipart and CodeChickenLib

I am playing a Modpack called Project Architect on a server, the game crashes at certain bases but I am unsure as to what is the specific cause, I'm hoping the crash log shows something that I'm missing. The crash does not seem to take place when I am just using Rubidium 0.2.3

I have also done "/flywheel backend off" as create mod is in this pack and I've heard that can cause crashes with shaders.

crash-2022-04-03_16.14.56-client.txt

As stated in the title I am on Minecraft 1.16.5 and I am using Rubidium 0.2.4 alongside with Oculus 1.2.2 I had this crash using the shaderpack ComplementaryShaders_v4.3.3 as well as Sildur's+Vibrant+Shaders+v1.32+Extreme-VL I have not tested any others

I'm quite busy but if I get some free time I will see if I can replicate the crash consistently in single player, and then try to figure out if a specific mod is to blame.

Crash with Rubidium and Bigger Reactors Turbine

Crash with Rubidium and Bigger Reactors Turbine.

Per the Bigger Reactor's Dev:
"my code is looking for a CompositeRenderType object, which is what the rendertypes are by default
iris/oculus replaces them with IrisRenderTypeWrapper objects, that hold the original CompositeRenderType within them
so, my code sees a IrisRenderTypeWrapper and goes thats not a CompositeRenderType, dev must have fucked up"

[1.18.1] Visual glitches with Vampirism's Blood Containers

Vampirism and Ender Chests mods both have visual glitches with Rubidium. I have made separate posts for each. I do have many other mods (around 150), but every time I disable Rubidium, they're fixed, and when I enable it, they're broke (so it could be a mix issue, but I don't think so as I'm pretty sure I once disabled every other mod but these 3, if not almost every other mod)
A note, I haven't really posted on here before, so apologies if anything doesn't show up quite like it should.

Vampirism's blood containers

  • Issue is when the container has any amount of blood in it, the south and east faces are completely invisible as if the container is empty (except it isn't empty), and the north and west faces flicker like crazy.
  • How to recreate: Install Rubidium & Vampirism, latest 1.18.1 versions (1.8.0 for vampirism, 0.5.0 for Rubidium), load up a singleplayer world, place a filled "blood container" from creative inventory, and look at it.

Texture Bug?

with activated rubidium-0.4.0b. jar all my Silent Gear / Silent Gems Weapons do not have its colored Textures anymore.

Breaks Immersive Engineering Textures/Models

The bug seems to be related to (but is not limited to) animated textures... some are completely glitched out, whereas other textures which are not animated are completely invisible. (conveyors, cable ties, electrical connectors and relays and light posts)'

block textures seem unaffected but some (not all) model textures are. Some models themselves are glitched in their shape but have the correct texture (light posts )

[1.18.1] Heavy fps drops with Tetra

For whatever reason, Rubidium gets heavy fps drops, losing around 10 fps per tool, whenever a tetra tool is being displayed anywhere. Doesn't matter if it's in the inventory, in a chest, or in your hand, it'll cause the fps to drop. The issue is especially prevalent when multiple tetra tools are onscreen.

Enigmatica 6 and this

This seems the only port of Sodium currently seeing activity, and now it has a 1.16.5 version, so I wonder if it's possible to look into the Enigmatica 6 pack.

I don't know if it's a specific mod conflict, but the problems are evident by simply logging into the game. It seems with both Magnesium and Rubidium transparent blocks aren't rendered, like all water. And instead of a sea in front of me I can see all the caves underground.

It also usually crashes shortly after.

It seems like a basic rendering issue rather than a specific mod. The other performance mods are fine (Roadrunner, Starlight...).
