msprime is a Python API and command line interface for simulating the coalescent with recombination based on tskit. Please see the documentation for further information and installation instructions.

If you would like to help make msprime better, please see the developer documentation to get started.

If you are looking for help on a specific issue or would like to ask a question to fellow msprime users, please send an email to the mailing list. By asking questions on the mailing list, you can help to build a searchable knowledge base.

We are currently working towards our 1.0 release, the roadmap of issues are in this github milestone.
