SHA mismatch for v.2.7.1704

Attempting to install using the following commands as documented here results in an error about SHA mismatch on current version of brew and tap. Detailed output below:

release 3.0.2358

azure-functions-core-tools 3.0.2358 was released on Mar 8, but the brew formula hasn't been bumped.

Allow for non-admin installs where brew can only be run by another user

The extension just tried to self-upgrade, and failed because brew upgrade azure-functions-core-tools gave the following output:

Updating Script templates for runtime "~2" to version "2.11.1"...
Successfully updated templates.
Updating .NET templates for runtime "~2" to version "2.11.1"...

This is normal in my case because I never run any brew command under my own user account (I only run non-App Store installers and brew under an admin account), but needs to be handled correctly, because even though it is (sadly) common practice for Mac users to run everything under admin accounts, using that as an install/upgrade assumption will break things for those of us who are more careful about security.

The ask here is that the non-admin scenario be taken into account, and (hopefully) the way it's handled become a standard practice for this and other extensions.

SHA256 mismatch for 2.0.1-beta.34

Description

When upgrading to azure-functions-core-tools to version 2.0.1-beta.34 I get the following homebrew error.

~ brew upgrade azure/functions/azure-functions-core-tools
==> Upgrading 1 outdated package, with result:
azure/functions/azure-functions-core-tools 2.0.1-beta.33 -> 2.0.1-beta.34
==> Upgrading azure/functions/azure-functions-core-tools
==> Downloading https://functionscdn.azureedge.net/public/2.0.1-beta.34/Azure.Fu

Error: SHA256 mismatch

Problem

As seen in the output above the SHA256 checksum is in upper case, while homebrew is expecting a SHA256 in the lowercase.

Possible Fix

In the Formula file, changing the sum from uppercase:

sha256 "44082FD0B056E8ED546B7515C60DDE829952A6D63EED5CA4E009002396329C22"

to lowercase:

sha256 "44082fd0b056e8ed546b7515c60dde829952a6d63eed5ca4e009002396329c22"

Fixes the problem:

~ brew upgrade azure/functions/azure-functions-core-tools
==> Upgrading 1 outdated package, with result:
azure/functions/azure-functions-core-tools 2.0.1-beta.33 -> 2.0.1-beta.34
==> Upgrading azure/functions/azure-functions-core-tools
