Getting Started

It's recommended to sign up for OpenAI's api - you'll need this for an API key to comunicate with their free API.

1. Installing NodeJS dependencies

Install all of the required dependencies for both client and server with npm install

2. Creating Your Environment File

Make sure to create a .env file within your server folder. This environment file contains the key OPENAI_API_KEY with a value of your API key.

3. Running Local Server

For the server - run the command npm run server
For the client - run the command nodemon or npm run dev
