What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run the application copter GCS
2. Touch nothing and wait around 2 seconds
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I nice running app, instead I get a crash and the message "The application
Copter GCS (Process com.bvcode.ncopter) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try
again."
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
copter-gcs-9-packed.apk Mar 28 284Kb. Downloaded and installed directly from
this site. Running on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Android 3.1, pretty much
stock, well other than a good rooting :)
Please provide any additional information below.
Tried a reboot, every time the exact same message. Only other point worth
mentioning was at the time I was trying to see if the software would ID an
FT232 device connected via USB. So I selected the USB connection option within
the software. Unfortunately I both updated my previously working version of
Copter-GCS and tried the USB option simultaneously, so I cannot be sure which
if any is causing the problem.
I get the same error with "copter-gcs-8-packed.apk".

No sanity checks to make sure values sent to quad (in MAVLink) are sane.
Failure to do so can lead to dangerous results with the quad.
Remove props when calibrating for now

Hi, first of all, thanks for your amazing contribution to the community. I have
followed your steps for the copter link and it works perfect with my PC Windows
7. It works on my Samsung Captivate with rooted ROM ICS but it force closes.
And on my Acer Iconia A500 with stock Android 3.2 Gen2 it links but it says no
data. Any help or guidance would be great. Thanks.

I am using version 9, with arduplane 2.6.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.after heartbeat is confirmed, open Mode Selection. Wait 1 second and C-GCS
errors and closes
2.in the Mission Planner screen, choose yes to retrieve mission from arduplane.
Please provide any additional information below.
I'm using gingerbread, and a Bluetooth bridge. Many other features of C-GCS do
not work well, but I assume that this is because I am using it with arduplane
instead of arducopter.
Wouldn't a universal android GCS be amazing? I'd love to help generalize it
and fix the bugs!!!

Android phone may be stationary and keep the same IP over time - using DynDNS
it's easy to know it's IP.
UAV with Dronecell, could start an TCP session to Android on a predefined port.

I'm still in mailcontact, but perhaps someone has the same problem:
I'm bought on Android Store the app. After mailing with the developer i
uninstall the app and install it directly via link (version 9 with mavlink 1.0).
I'm using the new Asus TF700T with Android 4.0.03 and connect via BlueSmirfGold
to 3DR air-module. On APM2 is the arducopter 2.6 installed with the same 3DR
ait-module. Both 3DR and BT-module are set to 567k baud. The 3DR is like this
picture configured and connected to APM2:
http://code.google.com/p/arducopter/wiki/3DRadio#Configuring_using_the_Mission_P
lanner
Now, if I connect my 3DR-air-module for ground via FTDI-USB cable to my desktop
pc, I can select the USB-Cable-Com-Port with 57k in mission planner and can see
and set all data. It works fine.
Then I connect the 3DR-air-module for ground like the circuit diagram (from
gcs-copter) with BlueSmirfGold and an IC to create the exactly 3,3 power
supply. I've paired the FireFly.
Then I powered the 3DR and BT up. On 3DR the green led lights solid and the red
led blinks. The BT module lights red. When I start the app, I selected MAVLink.
The text "Protocol selected" shown, the green led by BT lights and the "Quad+
GCS Link" goes to task. If I press "Status", I don't get any data. In between
times (SOMETIMES) the green and red led on 3DR blinks. I think, I've lost the
connection. By click on "Readout" and then on "back" the program was closed by
himself or android.
Otherwise when the green led lights solid and the red led blinks for data, the
app don't show me any data...
The connection doesn't lost, when I use the 3DR at FTDI-USB cable this is not
happend. If I repower the 3DR module the green led is rapidly green solid and
the red is flashing.
I no longer know...

Hello all,
i just devlopped a MAVLink Java code generator...
Entries are mavlink xml files.
Output are :
- messages classes (from messages tags)
- Interfaces classes (from enums tags)
- an IMAVLink class which implements all interface classes
So if you want use this result you must :
- implements IMAVLink in your MAVLink class and remove all inners classes
- i have refactor packages : chang com in org... :-)
My goal is to use your code in all Java plateform so it is staying a little
stuff for that... :-)
I go in holydays for three weeks but you can email me to [email protected]
Have fun with this Eclipse project!
Best regards
Guillaume Helle

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Hi,
I'm a student of Politecnico di Torino (an Italian university).
My colleague and I are developing an integrated platform, consisting of a drone
and an Android application, meant to manage the delivery of medicines in rural
areas hard to be reached.
The drone has an APM 2.6 microcontroller.
Could you please help, providing the methods to send an Intent to your
application, in order to open it, having the coordinates of the destination and
the flying height already set up?
Thanks for your great work and for your time
