Vilages

Add vilages that naturally genarate so you can find NPCs in the world

These shuld be randomly generated done?

difrent vilage buildings depending on the biome they genarate in

Crashes

I experience random crashes not only of the game but the whole Minetest client as well. This has only happened in Farlands. Is it due to Farlands being developed towards 0.4.16, or perhaps a memory issue?

I'm on a MacBook Pro with 8 GB RAM and Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB.

The only error message I get before crash is

[1] 15424 segmentation fault /Applications/minetest.app/Contents/MacOS/minetest

Repairing tools with a hammer always need the same amount of uses

It doesn't matter what kind of tool I repair with the hammer on a workbench, it always needs the same amount of wear. If I repair a wooden axe I need one hammer to repair it. So it cost more to repair (two iron and two sticks) than to build a new one.

If I repair a diamond axe it also needs one hammer

A hammer should hold much longer and it should be a difference in repair time and wear if I repair a wooden tool or a diamond tool.

Repair time should be something like "wear/second". Then a wooden tool is repaired much faster then a diamond tool.

And the wear of the hammer should be reduced by the wear value of the tool. Then you can repair more wooden tools than for example iron tools.

pets

@tacigar This is a big list and not everything has to be added as I say but this is my perfect idea
If you have any ideas please let me know

First things first there should be a limit on the amount of pets active I think 1 or 2 is good

Pets are found as items called capsules (someting similar to a pokeball but is more pill shaped)
NOTE you should not be able to capture a pet in the wild (like you can in Pokemon)

You can Right click with the capsule in hand to spawn the pet
Right click with the capsule in hand again if a pet is active and it will deSpawn the pet
(NOTE if you die the pet will also be deSpawned)
If the pet is deSpawned you can just respawn it by Right clicking with the capsule in hand :)

Pets shuld be able to follow the player fairly good (if they get too far away they teleport to the player
(owner of pet)

Pets shuld not have a bitbox (so they Don't Get in the way in small Spaces)
You should also not be able to hurt them

Capsule may need a better name

Pets shuld only be found in dungoens and other chests also venders should sell them
They should be found very rarely (they should not be common so you have to put effort into getting one)
The ones sold at the vendor shuld be extremely rare and expensive
(this is to encourage people to find there own pets)

Next is accessories having some accessories for some pets would be cool like a tophat and monocle for the slime pet And a flower for the Cubelet's head glasses for the pub and so on

Next is pet color (skin) variation there should be multiple versions of the same Pet like the Cubelet's
Can have the grass skin and maybe also a cobblestone version and the pug can have a black skin and so on
How this is done I don't know maybe with a pet station so you can put your pet capsule in there and select a color or something like that

Also a pet capsule holder wuld be nice (is basically a block and you can put your pet capsule in it
And your pet will stay in the radius of that block) this is good to have your pet walking around in your house

@tacigar what's your take on this what are your ideas

Whales spawn in puddles

I have a 2x2 endless water well in front of my house, but it is big enough that whales can spawn in it. Now I have a pet

/change_weather crashes the subgame

/change_weather rain and /change_weather storm results in a runtime error

this is due to the fact that the arguments of math.random() is passed in the wrong order
velocity = {x=0, y=math.random(-15,-20), z=0},
should be velocity = {x=0, y=math.random(-20,-15), z=0},
velocity = {x=0, y=math.random(-25,-30), z=0},
should be velocity = {x=0, y=math.random(-30,-25), z=0},
velocity = {x=math.random(-5,5)/10, y=math.random(-4,-6), z=math.random(-5,5)/10},

machines

Like shape cutter (the thing that is in the crafting table at the moment) and item burner (like a trash can but with fire) can give a barrel that's explosive :/

After a certain amount of textures are approved I'll send a pull request to save you guys the time.

NPCs should be limited

I have dozens of NPCs walking around my house

I have also a lot of traders.

NPCs should have a limit. I suggest that NPCs despawn after a while if they have no house where they can live. And traders only spawn if there is no other trader around

Sleeping and nightmares

What needs to be done

If you sleep you seem to sink in the bed (that is probably a bug XD)
If you lay in your bed the night shouldn't be skipped instantly it should take a couple seconds
You also shouldn't be able to sleep if there are monsters nearby (like Minecraft)
And nightmares should trigger rarely (we need to talk about what nightmares we add)

Fishing should be interesting and not boring so there should be some stuff happening sometimes instead of catching a fish you can catch junk like a slick or a boot Maybe sheap armor and demaged tools

For Best resolt minetest/minetest#5722 this will need to be added

Crops are rotting to fast

I like the idea of rotting crops, but they rot too quickly. They grow to fast in general. If you cultivate something, you have to maintain your plants permanently. No time for digging or building while farming.

The plants should grow more slowly and remain in the "mature" state for a while before rotting.

Misc/vanety tools items and weapons

This is for fun and waky dungoen (and maybe fishing) loot like the Gameboy in the legend of minetest and a keyboard sword And a bucket to put on your head XD (the stupider it is the better)

Anyone have any ideas?
