I just tested it, by installing XP (on Ubuntu) and connecting via the Android RDP client, and it connected via RDP without problem.

So I am not sure why it doesnt work in your case. Maybe the RDP client in Windows 11 does not allow to connect to older versions of the RDP protocol (as a security measure maybe). So is there a possibility you can try using another RDP client? Also, what is the message that you get when connecting?

Then I will try to install win11, I also tried to install docker winxp on macos yesterday. The installation was successful, but the rdp connection also failed.

It would be helpful if you shared what error code you get during connection. Because normally it always gives a hexidecimal code when it fails.

Also, to which IP are you connecting? Because if you used localhost it is logical that it fails because Windows already has port 3389 in use for itself.

Did you enable the firewall in XP? Or changed any settings from the default? Did it work when you tried it with a Win7 or Win10 container for example?

XP has the firewall disabled by default, so I'll try using Windows 7 or Windows 10 today. Since I installed it directly on the local machine, can RDP not connect to the local network? For example, in the video, Windows was installed on a Linux computer, and then connected through Microsoft Remote Desktop on a Mac system.

The results are the same with Windows 7 and XP; RDP still cannot connect.

Other computers on the local network can connect successfully via RDP, but it still doesn't work locally.

Maybe you need to use the IP of the container and not the IP of localhost? I have no experience with Docker Desktop, but probably its something like that.
