bitcoin-emulator's Issues

Emulator exits prematurely if countermeasure 3 is activated

I ran the project with RAP enabled and RAP not enabled. But when I look at the results after running, I am extremely confused because of the results given, parameters such as AttackSucces: True, ShadowPeerCount: 10,... (You can see more clearly in the txt file). And when countermeasures are enabled, the emulator will run shorter (specifically 30 days). I looked at the code and found that if shadow_outbound_peer_cnt >= m_max_outbound the attack is successful, but now after enabling RAP and disabling all countermeasures shadow_outbound_peer_cnt is still equal to m_max_outbound. Can you explain why is that so? Thank you very much!!

Code not working

  • I changed the victim age to 1: victim_age =1

** Output **

prepare_addr_broadcasts
Reading file.. ./data/addr-msgs.txt.gz
Killed

Kindly advise.

How to run project step by step

Hello sir!
I have downloaded your project for the purpose of learning and learning. But I don't quite understand the steps in project. I also wonder about the file path data: Where did you get the data for starter_ips_fp, ip_reachability_fp, addr_msgs_fp, shadow_prefixes_fp, nonhidden_shadow_prefixes_fp, victim_as_path. Can you give me the source to get the data?.
Like you guys, can you show me step-by-step how to run which files first and which files later?
Thank you very much!

The attack success print statement is always True

I ran all the cases like in your article. But never once have I seen a failed attack. Whether RAP is enabled or not. Can you explain?. And I want to ask is there any way to improve RAP's logic algorithm?
