Currently, h.265 video archival occurs in-place - the temp output file is written to the source folder alongside the source file. To minimize wear on SSDs, this should occur inside a RAMDISK, and then the final file will be copied from RAMDISK to its final archival destination
Currently using H.265 veryslow for video archival. Should switch to AV1.
Separate processes would allow the slow video transcoding archival process to occur in the background as any new photos would be picked up and compressed and archived without having to wait for any videos to transcode first.
