Which actual command did you run?
Can you reproduce the issue?
This looks like an upstream bug to me and should probably be reported at trac.ffmpeg.org
, as there's nothing really special done with ffmpeg in this tap.
from homebrew-ffmpeg.
Command run from script: "/usr/local/bin/ffmpeg" -y -i input.mp4 -c:v libx265 -preset slow -c:a aac -x265-params crf="50" output.mp4; sync;
I'll try and reproduce it tomorrow. I think maybe statically linking ffmpeg
in the build process should fix this (or if not, then at least fix the "break-ffmpeg
-during-brew upgrade
" problem)
from homebrew-ffmpeg.
Reproduced with newly available footage (to eliminate the possibility of corrupt footage, checked with ffprobe
before starting instance)

Thanks for trying again with another file. That looks like an issue with x265 though, not with ffmpeg or this particular tap. It wasn't so obvious from your original post, since it didn't include the full error trace. Please look at where the segfault is thrown: x265::MotionEstimate::motionEstimate
.
I suggest reporting the issue here: https://bitbucket.org/multicoreware/x265/issues
from homebrew-ffmpeg.
Reported at https://bitbucket.org/multicoreware/x265/issues/558, thanks!
