The only reason why there isn't an lwt runtime is because I haven't found the time to do it. There's nothing fundamental preventing one from implementing it. So, if you have the time and motivation, go for it! The only guidance I have is to look at angstrom and faraday for pointers on how to do something similar. But also, the lwt version should be very, very similar to the async version that's in this repository. And in terms of getting the patches accepted, try as much as possible to make your contributions amenable to review. Happy coding!
