New Search Forms? Better Range widget? about django-floppyforms

This is interesting -- IMO you shouldn't iterate over existing forms, but rather define a "Range" widget with a MutliValueField that converts the bounds to a proper python list (perhaps that's what you meant and I misunderstood you :).

I wouldn't add this to the core library though, it looks like a very nice fit for the examples section in the docs: there already are a couple of jQueryUI examples.

Would you like to make a docs pach? If you need any help on this let me know.

Actually, I'm only using one form, and then modifying the model etc. prior to construction of the form. I would prefer to do what you suggest, but I have a lot of fields, and quite a few different models. So it is simpler to create all this on the fly. This is probably somewhat similar to what Alex was doing with https://github.com/alex/django-filter.

A multi field widget is probably a better solution, but then I need to write more javascript (there is already a jquery plugin for a single field). Actually, this combined with what Alex did might be a good idea.
