IntegrityError when two tags that slugify to the same thing are given about django-taggit

So I actually hit this myself last night, so I want it fixed (you have no idea how confusing it is to see your admin give you a 500, and then realize it's because PHP and php slugify to the same thing). I'm not in love with this solution though, so I'm going to sit on this until I come up with something that pleases me.

Yeah, I don't like it either but it was the obvious/quick solution. I'll let you know if I come up with anything better.

I don't think it makes sense to have tags which differ only in case. It's not even possible on MySQL because it violates the unique constraint on tag name:

IntegrityError: (1062, "Duplicate entry 'LONDON' for key 'taggit_tag_name_6b48d50f_uniq'")

Would you consider an alternative proposal that tags which differ only in case are actually the same tag? That would also meet nookiepl's request on #70.
