you forgot to add the deep flag to clonenode, you stupid, learn how to JavaScript!!! 1!!

the extend attribute accepts a tagName, if present the custom element will extend the document.createElement(tagName).constructor instead of the HTMLElement.prototype one.

Adding some tests would be fun and good, so a package.json and all the other stuffs, also should be good to test https://github.com/rafalchmiel/friction, so

• adding a package.json with devDeps
• adding a proper README.md
• setting up a test suite with phantomjs/mocha/expect
• test friction on the way

For elements that don't need to register their prototype, this will also remove unwanted duplication +@bga

Safari doesn't render the component, probably Opera too.
