Installation

Verticalize can be installed with conda:

conda install conda-forge::verticalize

Compilation

make

Usage

verticalize (options) (file|stdin)

Options

  • -n first line is NOT the header
  • -d (char) delimiter (default: tab)
  • -h get help.

Example

$ git log --pretty=format:'%h|%an|%s' | verticalize -n -d '|'

mac output issue

Thanks for a nice and useful tool.

On OS X 10.9.4, this is what the output looks like from the example:

I.e. the column names are padded with zeros.

feature request - ignore comment lines

it would be great if the script would pass through comments - this will make header reading much easier...

Most comments start with # but an option for other standards would be great (//, % etc etc)

Please make a release

I really like this tool and want to make a package for Homebrew.

Could you make an official release after #4 please?

I came across this handy tool today.
There is a typo in usage: -c should be -n.
