gambit's Issues

Board is misaligned in ChromeOS Terminal

Please see images below:

I think this is actually two separate issues.
For the more obvious one, causing the 'white' pawns to be off of the board:
I believe this is due to selective emoji support in the terminal. Some glyphs are printed as, well, glyphs, and others as emojis.

I am not sure how to fix this just yet.

However, the glyph-only rows are also uneven with the rest of the board.

Can we add a command to adjust the whitespace length or something to fix the rendering? (i.e. the user types the spacebar and the width of all squares increase except for those containing a piece).

Sorry, I am just brainstorming here a bit, hopefully this isn't spam.

Any way to increase the font size of the piece symbols?

The size of the pieces relative to the squares seems way too small imho. I'm relatively new to programming but I found the file that defines the piece symbols, but I'm not sure if it's possible to increase the font size of just the pieces and no other characters. Is it possible? Thanks :) Cool program.

Docker + Browser ?

Hello there, came across this project and excited to try it out as this looks like a neat project.

I noticed there is a docker compose file - does this mean the game can be played over a browser ?
I used the compose file provided, however when trying to connect via browser, I see a error

Error: Host is not reachable {"protocol":"http:","host":"chess","port":53531}

Is there any additional configurations are required to get to play via browser ?

Promoting Pawns dosen't work

When reaching the final rank with a pawn it should be possible to promote. So there should be some way of selecting a piece and than having the pawn turn into that piece.

As of now, pawn moves to the final rank just are not possible (the interface won't offer those)

Side note: this is a really cool project.
