Causes may be different, without further details it's hard to tell. Does this happen to you only, or are the people you're trying it with experiencing the same?

I forgot to mention that I'm using MCU Example from http://janus.conf.meetecho.com/videomcutest.html, not from my linux machine or instance. Yes, this happens to others.

Please also try installing the gateway on your machine, to see if you can replicate the issue there. The server we're using for the demos is not up and runing 24/7, and due to lack of resources we also use it for development on other projects which may interfere with the behaviour of Janus.
