azcode's Issues

Sign out

Sing out command is not working. I tried many times.

Azure Student Subscription

Azure student subscription is showing in my azure portal but it is not shown in vs code azure account !

recover deleted apim apis

i need urgent help regrading azure apim. Here is my question;

I was working on implmenting git version controlling for apim policies that i was workng in the azure portal tools. I have installed Azure API Management extension for VS Code, & i was able to sync it with azure portal policies, but i accidentaly deleted the apis from the VS Code but all apis in azure portal got automatically deleted, is it possible to recover those apis in the azure portal.

I am beginner, I did nothing, confused & shocked.

Error with Logic Apps (Standard) Extension for vscode

I'm using VSCode on Mac OS Big Sur.

Whenever I try to create a logic app project using the aforementioned extension, I get the following error:

You must have the .NET Core SDK installed to perform this operation. See here for supported versions.

I've tried using both .NET Core 5 and 6 (uninstalling the other version each time), and it's always the same error. The error comes when I select the type of workflow (Stateful or Stateless) in the Create New Project dialogs.

Switch directory resources

Azure Tools for VS Code don't provide to switch the directory.
so i stack in current directory resource, even i switching directories on the azure portal.

[Update]

Azure: Sign Out

i try using command to sign out and switch the directory on the azure portal, and login again.
still not the correct directory.

https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-azure-account

I suggest to add that feature.

VSCode Azure Workspace never switch between Tenant

I try to switch my workspace to another Tenant / Subscription however nothing happen.

I can see subscription in command list but nothing happen, the list of subscription does not change to the new one.

I use MSAL on Azure Extension, I tried to force Tenant Id in extension, I tried to log off and log in again. Nothing happen.

Unified experience experiment 1

There have been several bits of NPS feedback indicating that the explorers are too cluttered and it's possible that customers are struggling with the (sometimes) overwhelming number of subscriptions that are shown by default. This experiment is meant to validate that's the case.

  • Default subscription filter to only show the default subscription (Azure Account extension)
  • Hide the subscription node when only a single subscription is selected

image

With each of the explorers only showing the resource nodes in the tree, the overall extension view will show only the different resource icons and should improve the look.

No resource displayed (login failure)

I have a Web App on Azure. It's a paid subscription, and charged every month.
From the browser, I can access my account and subscription, and service through "azure.microsoft.com".

I had been able to update my Python/Flask app there from VS / Azure Account plug-in.
The Web App itself is still working, So, I assume no problems with my account and server side setting.

However, from today, my VS cannot access anymore with the following message.
My Azure Account plug-in is v0.11.1

What could go wrong ? What shall I do to recover, so that I can updates my program there ?

I am unable to publish functions because VS code is not finding any of my existing subscriptions

I have signed in to VS code and am trying to publish a function. I am currently using a free trial with Azure and am signed in on VS code but still when I go to publish the function, the subscription is not found. I am able to publish functions on Visual Studio which is strange, but would prefer to use VS code since I am writing in python. The subscription I have is not empty as I have created several resource groups already.

Missing Subscriptions

Have an existing subscription. Added the extension, logged in via the instructions and closed the web page. However, none of the tools will work as they do not find any subscriptions. Not sure how to add an existing subscription.

Azure Sign in not working on VSCode-insider build

On my Mac, running vscode-insider, with the Azure Account Extension installed, when I attempt to "Sign In" I get the following message:
"You appear to be offline. Please check your network connection."

If I use the Azure CLI, I can log into my Azure account without a problem. I have also tried the extension on my Windows 10 PC and Debian-based Linux system, with the same results.

On my Mac, I have seen a similar behavior in the normal production VSCode release when the GitHub Copilot is installed along with the Azure Account extension.

To reproduce:

  1. Press F1 to bring up the vscode command window.
  2. In the Window, select "Azure: Sign in"

The offline message will then appear in a popup on the lower right side.

The extension information is

Unified tree view PoC

Goal:
Quickly implement a unified tree view using the Resource Groups extension. And look for technical challenges and design decisions that need discussion.

In the unified tree view users will be able to drill into the individual resources as they would normally in the resource specific extension, but all together in the Resource Groups view.

Visual Studio Code fails to connect to local instance. No problem connecting from other places

Visual Studio Code debugger always fails to connect to local instance the SECOND time. First time after starting VSC no problem and it works. But when I stop the instance and restart the debugger on a second start it fails. No problem connecting from other places.
Error: request to http://localhost:7071/admin/functions failed, reason: connect ECONNREFUSED 127.0.0.1:7071

These changes did not fix the problem for me...: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/71532944/unable-to-debug-python-azure-function-in-vs-code-ide-getting-connect-econnrefus

Subscriptions are not displayed

On the Resources tab there are no subscriptions displayed just the Select subscriptions... item which on click opens the selection box with no items inside.

  • Azure Functions.
  • Azure Resource Groups (and inner resources).

For Azure Cache for Redis, under all the subscriptions I have access to, I see the following message:

Error: Entry not found in cache.

Take over Application Insights extension

  • Switch to Azure Account extension for authentication
    • Current authentication is broken entirely in remote environments
  • Doesn't support modern express routing patterns (may not be possible to solve this)

Issues in remote environments

  • WSL paths aren't supported - fails to watch files in \\wsl$\Ubuntu-18.06\home\
    • Prevents metrics details from launching from code lens
