Build failed on windows 10 vs2017

The TestPaniq scene displays a black screen

First up, thanks for sharing this great library. One issue though the nature.hdr probe is missing due to which the TestPaniq scene displays a black screen. If possible do share the nature.hdr file that you used or atleast share the URL or the name of the hdr file used so that the results may be replicated.
The hdr file I used is phalzer_forest_01_4k.hdr from polyhaven which gives similar results as shown below.

Material noisy and dark when roughness is close to zero

I was trying to create a reflective material with roughness set to 0.01 and specular 0.5 and a red base color but it turns out to be very noisy and dark when compared to Blender Cycles. All other material parameters were set to 0. I do not have lights in the scene, only the sky.

Example:
Cycles:
cycles_roughness_0 01

Tinsel:
tinsel_roughness_0 01_no_clamp

Seems to be working good for higher roughness though:
Cycles: roughness 1.0
cycles_roughness_1 0

Tinsel: roughness 1.0
tinsel_roughness_1 0

Am I missing something really obvious here?

Regarding volume rendering/volumetric path tracing

I notice that volume rendering is in the todo list. Is there any progress in this area for adding volumetric path tracing (delta/ratio/residual/spectral/spectralMIS/integral form). Will it be a good idea to work on this?
