Well, it is no bug, it is intention. The block just displays the surname of the teacher because there may be courses with many teachers or moodle installations where other metadata has to be displayed in the second row - and displaying only the surname was a measure to keep the line short enough.
Do you need the first name of the teachers and want this to be handled as feature request?

yes, as only surname cannot easily identify which teacher.
