Support for non-default registry

Looks like conntrack is hardcoded to use the default prometheus registry (as seen here).
This is problematic for me as I'm using a custom registry for safe metric collection in my application.

Would be great to provide a way to specify a custom registry, or simply export the metrics so I can register them myself.

Please tag release

There are no changes for quite some time, so v1.0.0 should be safe. But really any SemVer tag like v0.1.0 would be better than using master.

Bonus points for go.mod! 😄

Abandoned codebase

There's a number of outstanding PRs and issues that would be nice to have. But it looks like this codebase has had no updates since 2019.

Is there any intention to keep maintaining it?

Perhaps we could adopt this directly in the Prometheus GitHub org.
