dsniff -- replace deprecated des_ methods with DES_

dsniff uses deprecated des_* methods from the openssl library.

This becomes an issue, when trying to compile it against libressl, which removed des_ in favor of DES_:

./sshcrypto.c:32:2: error: unknown type name ?des_key_schedule?
des_key_schedule k1, k2, k3;

Below is a simple patch for dsniff(~2.4_beta1-r5), with trivial changes des_ -> DES_, created using libressl porting guide
Patch: libressl.patch.txt

tool request - xpl-search

Hi,
was reading about the Pentoo Linux distribution and I liked it, really,
very good, I would suggest a tool for your repository, the XPL SEARCH.

A summary of what it is and what it is for the tool: XPL SEARCH is a
multiplatform tool(Windows and Linux), which was developed in PHP with the
aim of helping the hacker community to find exploits or 'vulnerabilities',
using online databases, below is the list of databases which can be used in
last version published(0.9):

  1. Exploit-DB
  2. MIlw00rm
  3. PacketStormSecurity
  4. IntelligentExploit
  5. IEDB
  6. CVE
  7. Siph0n

Among the options that the script has, we can mention the following:

  • Search individual.
  • Search with multiple words(list).
  • Select which databases will be used for research.
  • Blocking specific databases.
  • Save log with the survey data.
  • Save the exploits/vulnerabilities found.
  • Use of proxy.
  • Set the time that the databases have to answer.
  • Conduct research just indicating the author's name.
  • Disable display of the banner.

Simple use: php xpl_search.php [command] [term]
Ex: php xpl_search.php --search WordPress

Video demonstrating a simple search:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ja_yTWBR1eE

To use all the features as the tool provides, the following is recommended:
PHP Version(cli) 5.5.8 or higher
php5-cli Lib
cURL support Enabled
php5-curl Lib
cURL Version 7.40.0 or higher
allow_url_fopen On
Permission Writing & Reading

Dependencies necessary:
php5
php5-cli
php5-curl
curl
libcurl3
libcurl3-dev

To learn more about the tool, your commands and to see some pictures of the
tool, acess the wiki on github:
https://github.com/CoderPirata/XPL-SEARCH/wiki

Last version published of the tool

Pentoo RC2.6 Installer Fails

After going through all of the steps to install Pentoo in a VMware Workstation virtual machine (60GB Hard drive, 4 GB RAM, 1 processor core) all of the steps complete and when I go to exit the main install window I get an error message saying an error was encountered. I go back to the main install window and select exit again and it exits back to the screen from which I ran the install tool (same issue occurs in both the GUI and from the command line). When I rebooth the VM, grub fails to run and all I get is a black screen.

Attached is the /tmp/pentoo-installer.log for reference as requested on IRC by Zero_Chaos. (renamed to pentoo-installer.txt since .log is unsupported for attachments).

https://github.com/necrose99/necromancy-overlay/blob/master/app-forensics/dshell/dshell-9999.ebuild
Wishlist Upstream, (make Releases)
the list of new plugins for it grows quickly, thus its usefullness , as well someone else has made a pull for a py-gui

as a novice ebuild'r I know i have much to learn , its a pre-alpha, anyhow peer review time.
and it's my hope that it becomes a useful addition to Pentoo, as the growing add on for it increase.

"doc" use flag is not supported

I'm opening this bug as an aggregator for all packages. We have neither power no interest in supporting "doc" flag at the moment. So feel free to create pull request and we will be happy to merge it.

dev-util/jd-gui-bin missing dependency on 32bit gtk+2

dev-util/jd-gui-bin needs a runtime dependency on x11-libs/gtk+:2[abi_x86_32]

Running the program without a 32bit gtk+2 produces the following error immediately:

jd-gui: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

It may have other dependencies, but this is the one that it's currently stopping at for me.

xmount 0.7.3-1 (bin ebuild for now)

https://github.com/necrose99/necromancy-overlay/blob/master/app-forensics/xmount-bin/xmount-bin-0.7.3-1.ebuild not all Keywords setup {$ARCH-linux} Have ??? armfpl mips etc just not sure were to match them in the URI_SRC array
a few of the Gentoo MIPS etc, but going for Deb's via unpackaer.eclass may's well go ALL IN.
for now I can comment out the unused debs and see if she goes.

Pentoo RC4.6 Installer Not Working

At blshkv's request I tried installing Pentoo RC4.6 on my Windows 10 Host using VirtualBox instead of VMware. Attached is the pentoo-installer.txt file from that effort. It also failed the same as under VMware.

gentoo - bugs

Hi, some dependencies in gentoo have bugs with the doc use, the bugs are listed here:

https://gist.github.com/latot/a8c7b748adf2e2134c83

dev-ruby/arel-helpers
dev-ruby/metasploit-concern
dev-ruby/metasploit-credential
dev-ruby/metasploit-model
dev-ruby/packetfu
dev-ruby/postgres_ext
dev-ruby/recog
dev-ruby/rubyntlm

basically are two solutions, add this packages with -doc in the profile in the overlay, or search other working version while the bug are solved in gentoo.
