Something specifically debunking "raises climate above 2°C"

I know there are a lot of great articles already debunking all the energy FUD, but wondering if it would be worthwhile to add another top-level energy category which specifically debunks Mora Et. al, Greenpeace, and the World Economic Forum propaganda?

I don't have a specific article recommendation yet, so this is more of a place-holder for me and to see if anyone has some thoughts. There is additional information coming out about how the Mora paper was created and who was behind it. For example:

Bigger book section with related topics

Till now I've only included the few books about Bitcoin I really thought were the best of the best for newcomers to start their journey. But it's just as important to give people guidance about what to read next, so now I want to expand the book section to include:

  1. All Bitcoin books (basically... some curation should still apply)
  2. Books on related topics (economics, climate & energy, liberty)

Label which links are duplicate / remove duplicate links

Some links belong in multiple categories which is how things are currently set up. If a link is repeated somewhere else, label it as a duplicate to avoid people from re-reading the same thing again. Or simply, just put next to each duplicate link something like "this link shows up in multiple categories", "duplicate", " * ", color code them, or whatever you think is easier.

Or instead of having category headers and the links below them, just have all the links shown without headers and next to each link say which categories they belong to and do not repeat any of the links. This will be better for SEO.

https://www.siteliner.com/endthefud.org?siteliner=site-dashboard&siteliner-sort=scan_time&siteliner-from=1&siteliner-message=

There are also quite a few links that bring you to the same URL but have different anchor tags referencing that particular category. I don't think this is necessary. https://safehodl.github.io/failure is an example of this.

Find all URLs and sort them:

wget -q https://endthefud.org/ -O - | tr "\t\r\n'" ' "' | grep -i -o '<a[^>]\+href[ ]*=[ \t]*"\(ht\|f\)tps\?:[^"]\+"' | sed -e 's/^.*"\([^"]\+\)".*$/\1/g' | sort

Quantum computing paragraph should be more detailed and with more respectable sources

Quantum computing is probably the only perceived threat by non-beginner bitcoin users and a possible obstacle to a bigger global investment exposure on this asset. There are tens of well founded companies that claim to be working on QC and to be on the right path to deliver, in a relatively short time frame, QCs that could be able to handle calculations that are not possible with standard computers. Since these companies attracted billions from several professional investors it is not likely that their claims are completely untruthful.

At least these topics should be addressed:

  • More professional opinions by people involved in QC on which could be a realistic time frame for the QC to break ECDSA (somebody says 2years somebody says never) and perhaps SHA256
  • More professional opinion on how secure is post quantum cryptography
  • More developers stance on how the post quantum cryptography could be integrated into Bitcoin and a possible timeframe.
  • What will happen with all the coins deposited on addresses that have shared the public key (eg. very old coins) and could be spent if ECDSA is broken.

Suggestion: Twitter account

It would probably be good to have a Twitter account for EndTheFUD and tweet links to the articles periodically with a short summary or teaser. That makes it easy for everyone to use in Twitter discussions, just find a relevant tweet and use it to answer FUD.

Provide alternate mirror links of articles to archive.is or archive.org

Some sources linked (for example medium) require creating an account with them or have a rate limit of how many articles you can view. Sites might stop working, or block visitors due to legal reasons.

Providing mirrors (in addition of original source) would allow preserving the contents and let visitors decide to use these alternative mirrors. Even better, you might be able to have local text archives on repository, but that's a stretch idea.

Termininology

Kickass resource. Just small suggestion, as I want to send this link around to some normies: Clarifying slang/ terminology (like the FUD acronym) unfamiliar to them might make this page a little more approachable.

Please add 'Bitcoin Has No Intrinsic Value' by Arman The Parman

Please consider this new article, "Bitcoin Has No Intrinsic Value" (A logical rebuttal to one of the most common misconceptions about Bitcoin, by Arman The Parman), for addition under the topic of “No intrinsic value”, “Bitcoin is a bubble”.

Link: https://bitcoinreserve.com/blog/bitcoin-has-no-intrinsic-value

Good discussion of the concept of intrinsic value (whether it even exists) as well as summarizing Mises' Regression Theorem and Aristotle’s Properties of Money.

Ransomware

Can anyone include a refutation of the ransomware claim? Tough one, since the reasons for Bitcoin's use by hackers are reasons that make Bitcoin a better money.

light mode

should enable a light mode toggle for the website and Review Accessibility ranking. This will impact search engine visibility. The site should be visually impaired friendly.

Some links no longer work
