Installing the extension

You can get the extension from the official firefox addons website here : Facebook Sponsor Blocker

Or you can Load it as unpacked by downloading the repo then :

• Go to about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox
• Press "Load Temporary Add-on"
• Select the manifest.json from the repo files

facebook-sponsor-blocker's Issues

Suggested posts are appearing in feed.

Describe the bug
"Suggested for you" posts were being blocked before, but I noticed on 11/14/23 that they are appearing in feed again.

To Reproduce
View Facebook feed.

Expected behavior
"Suggested for you" posts should not be appearing.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

• OS: Windows 11 Home 22H2
• Browser Firefox
• Version 119.0.1 (64-bit)

Additional context
Appears to still be blocking suggested reels and sponsored posts. In the extension menu, all three types of posts to block are checked.

Remove (suggested) reels?

Extension works perfect and removes all junk on fb. There is still one tiny remaining thing - suggested reels and short videos. Would it be possible to remove them as well?

Not working

I installed the extension and the sposored posts are still there, even if both checkboxes are checked.
I also tried the button, but it does nothing.
I guess Facebook changed something and broke the extension?
Any idea if this extension will be fixed?

Does not work in touch.facebook.com

Describe the bug
I use Firefox Beta for android with custom add-ons enabled and was hoping to use Facebook through the browser ad free since the mobile app is unusable these days.
I am able to install the extension but it does not seem to work on the domain.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to touch.facebook.com
2. Scroll down through newsfeed
3. See sponsored posts

Expected behavior
Sponsored posts are hidden
