A (Quick) Timeline Of The CIA Torture Report

Note: This code won't win any awards, but I wrote it in the middle of getting an alarm system installed and a dishwasher delievered.

This is a quick analysis of the text of the CIA torture report.

Files included:

• data/sscistudy1.pdf - The original torture report in pdf
• data/sscistudy1.txt - The raw text of the torture report
• readme.md - This file
• cia_torture_timeline.ipynb - An ipython file creating a timeline of the sentences in the report. The file is viewable on IPython's notebook viewers here.
• sentences_mentioning_dates.csv - A csv dataset containing all sentences in the report listing one or more years, organized by year.
