haz-commitz's Issues

Fix badges

The badges service seem to escape options now and badges are knackered.

Add some client Analytics

I would like to know who is using it so add some client analytics to track who is using the web version.

Come up with some low tech, dodgy way to do the same for the /badge.svg url!

Always show a badge if requested

Currently if any exceptions then a badge will not be returned, we should always return a badge even for internal exceptions. Status code to remain as is.

A more intelligent rating system

Long term goal to add a more intelligent rating system rather than just the last commit date. Think how GitHub rates users' commits over time.

Such as;

  • Number of commits in period of time.
  • Amount of stars, forks
  • Type of commit - value code changes over text files?

Is this service useful? General discussion

Let me know if this service is useful or not, I am open to either sides. Discuss.

I think a lot has to do with how each repo is rated, that being the more intelligently a repository is rated then that could be useful whether deciding to use the library or function that project provides.

The key thing is the rating and the badge system is a visual method of delivering that rating.
